Pooja Mishraa says," The response for the calendra has been overwhelming from Europe, America, South East Asia, Middle east....etc."

Well, the idea to launch a calendar happened quite magically, I had done a fab photoshoot for a bunch of Italian designers, and when me and my team, saw the images we were like wow! These are images one should be looking at all year round so we decided to design our own customized, limited edition calendar. What truely makes it unique is that it begins in March 2009 and is up until Feb 2010...... My friends infact were kidding around saying ok so the fact that you are the chief commissioner 1's [C.C.I.T 1's] daughter is now going to even reflect in your calendar, as it caters to the financial year, my quick retort to that was, what with the dark clouds of recession looming largely on our heads that should be considered a welcome relief! some even bummed around saying that just because your birthday is in the month of March your calendar begins on that note..... However I am of the belief that it all came together quite by itself in the month of march,my bday being in the same month was only incedental!

We had a very exclusive launch at Chor Bizzare,with the likes of Bollywood's veterans Jag Mohan Mundra, Surendra Hirani, Tabu Rothman, Chan Khubchandani, the restaurant owner Cookie Singh, a bevy of female foreign models and Gary Richardson with his jovial spirit.It was very well recieved and Mr. V.N.Dhoot, chairman Videocon, launched the calendar.

Well the looks and styling were decided by me and my team,like I mentioned when something good has to happen the whole universe comes together to allign it. The clothes were courtesy Collezioni Moda and Xcess, the jewellery by Honey Lulla [cypress], shoes by Catwalk,and the design & print coordination by graphikamaal. The calendar was linked to my website www.poojamisrra.net as a lot of people were delusional about my origin.. "Where are you from?" is a line I get a lot.....people go from calling me a Lebanese to a South American..... so I thought lets put the calendar for sale on my website, as not only will it be easily accessible but it will also help people get a clear perspective on where I am coming from and where am I off to.....as my comprehensive profile is also available on my website!

I must mention here the mini controversy that took place during our massive publicity campaign for the limited edition calendar on billboards. We had booked 9 billboard from Marine Drive to Lokhandwala displaying our artwork......However the billboards at Marine Drive were pulled down unceremoniously without the license commissioner Mr. Gholap giving us any reasons or explanations so as to why? When I prodded further I was given a lame excuse of them being too sensual, which frankly i found very amusing as the campaign in the burbs with the same artwork was running very peacefully with a lot of appreciation,surprisingly with the locations of the billboards in the burbs being more prime to residential areas,which if you analyse are the first to object if anything is hanky panky.

Like they say you cant keep a good thing down for long and going by that karmic rule, TADA! after a dilligent rendevouz with the additional municipal commissioner Mr.R.A.Rajeev, ourcampaign was up again with twice the amount of billboards displaying our artwork all over mumbai from sobo to the burbs advertising our limited edition calendar on the renewed ,K.M.A. format!

The response for the calendar has been overwhelming....from Europe, America, South East Asia, Middle east, Asia Pacific, Austrailia and New Zealand! Well as far as amchi mumbai is concerned I have been on a signing spree for main leads in a string of movies....what more can I say....GOD has been kind!More on that as it happens.....
